Are you planning an outdoor event in Fife? Then get in touch with our events team!

Last year, we assessed and approved over 450 outdoor events of all types and sizes. We had everything from sponsored walks and community galas to international golf tournaments and world cycling championships.

2024 is shaping up to be just as busy and we've already received almost 200 applications for events in Fife.

Whether you’re organising a gala day in June, beach volleyball in August, fireworks in November - or anything else in between - our team can help!

We'll work with you to make sure your events are safe and enjoyable for everyone. We'll help you:

• classify the size of your event
• understand licensing
• know whether any other applications are needed
• make sure no other events are taking place in the same location, on the same day
• be aware of any maintenance work that could affect your event.

Applications for smaller events should ideally be submitted to us at least six weeks in advance of the event date.

Applications for larger events should be submitted at least six months in advance of the event date. Large events often include entertainment, funfair rides, inflatables, live music, market stalls, animal handling, and food and drink vendors.
