We offer a wide variety of activities for people of all ages in Fife. We could not operate without the hundreds of volunteers from our local communities that support our programmes. Our aim is to make sporting and physical activities sustainable and so we really do value the local volunteers who help deliver activities.
If you would like to volunteer to support any of our programmes, please complete the volunteer application form and send to one of the teams below that best fit your interests and a staff member will contact you.
Active Schools aims to provide more and higher quality opportunities to take part in sport and physical activity before school, during lunchtime and after school, and to develop effective pathways between schools and sports clubs in the local community.
There are a number of different roles including coaching with Primary or Secondary pupils, assisting the delivery of activity sessions, supporting festivals and events, refereeing, admin, marketing and mini bus driving.
Community Use Fife support our local communities via access to sport, leisure and learning opportunities. Our volunteering opportunities can vary from Pool Lifeguard, Leisure Attendant and Janitor to volunteering as a coach or tutor to support the delivery of sport and learning.
The Bums Off Seats Walking programme is run by volunteer Walk Leaders. All walks are Health Walks, and are as inclusive as possible catering for all levels of ability they run weekly and last for about an hour. There are 17 across Fife, with at least one in every locality. All the walks are run by a small team of walk leaders, if you are interested in a social and rewarding volunteering opportunity, why not join one of these teams? Sports Development serves as the interface between the local sporting community and Fife Council, liaising closely with clubs, schools, coaches, national governing bodies of sport and the local sports councils. A diverse range of events, courses and activities, from participation to performance, are offered.
This leads many people towards a healthier lifestyle, increased opportunities in sport and a stronger sense of community. The Sports Development team offer volunteering opportunities within all sports programmes, including those supported and offered by national governing bodies of sport. This ranges from getting involved with coaching/leading at local sports clubs, multi sports camps, sport specific camps or sport specific player development and pathway programmes
