Glenrothes Area Committee Convener, Councillor Craig Walker said: “I’m delighted that the demolition preparation works continue as planned and look forward to further updates as the demolition works progress.

“This ambitious regeneration project has been in the pipeline for a while and is supported by local residents which will see their housing needs given top priority in the overall project. I’d like to take this opportunity to thank both residents and retailers for their support during the works.

Councillor Altany Craik, Fife Council’s Spokesperson for Finance, Economy and Strategic Planning added: “It’s great to see this project progressing and presenting future regeneration opportunities for the area and benefits for the local community either it be housing or community facilities.”
