Funding agreed for extra parking at The Cairns, Charlestown

This article is more than 1 year old

Funding has been agreed to allow a proposal to provide extra parking for the residents at The Cairns in Charlestown to progress.

Speaking after the recent committee meeting (Wednesday) Cllr David Barratt, Convener of the South and West Fife Area Committee said: “Parking for residents has been an issue for quite some time. The committee’s approval to allocate £36k from the Area Capital Budget towards the cost of delivering the project means that 16 additional parking spaces can be created.

“Coupled with the funding already identified by Housing Services, I’m pleased that we’ve now been able to reach a positive solution following the petition from local residents that was presented to the committee last year.”
