About Lade

A long, thin strip of greenspace, sandwiched between the railway line, the River Eden, and the rear of houses. The southern end consists of a mown‑grass football pitch and two fenced‑off ponds. A narrow strip of semi‑mature trees screens the busy road. A path then leads north towards Cupar town centre, following a thin strip of woodland along the riverbank. A mill lade runs along part of this route, separating the path from the houses above. It is an attractive area, with mature trees and snowdrops beside the river adding to its charm.
