About Haugh Park

Haugh Park is a historic park in the centre of Cupar. It is a classic town park with many attractive features, including mature trees, benches, and picnic tables. The River Eden flows through the park, and a tree-lined walkway runs alongside it. Otters have occasionally been seen in the river during the day.
A bronze, winged, angel-like sculpture stands atop a grand and monumental war memorial. The park also features a 117-year-old bandstand, which is well used during the summer for concerts.
In recent years, a wildflower meadow has been sown in the park. It is now full of colourful flowers and attracts bumblebees and butterflies.
The name "Cupar" is of Pictish origin and means "where the two rivers meet" a fitting name, as the park is located at the confluence of these two rivers.
