Public swimming is suitable for those who want to enjoy the recreational use of our pools.
Our fun sessions allow children to splash around in a fun and controlled environment. These sessions are an excellent way for children to make friends and get some exercise in at the same time.

Fife Council has 6 community use sites across Fife with swimming pools. Our pools are used for a diverse range of activities including: Swimming, Fitness Classes, Canoe Sessions and Birthday Parties! With competitive rates, we host activities for all the family.
Community Use delivers a range of aquatics based Vocational courses for learners. Our National Pool Lifeguard Qualification courses gives learners the ability to become qualified through the Royal Life Saving Society, and can lead to paid employment in leisure centres throughout the UK. We also host a variety of Teacher Of Aquatics courses to allow learners to gain a qualification as a swimming instructor.
Our pool hire can either be for parties, private groups or for one off special events. Our timetables, staffing availability and hire costs vary from site to site, so please contact your local pool for more information.
Fife Council follows the national swimming framework (Learn To Swim) designed and supported by Scottish Swimming.
