Sailability enables disabled people, and their friends and families, to try sailing and take part regularly! It’s the perfect activity to feel tranquillity and freedom on the water. With the clubs new powerboat, there is also the opportunity for Wheelyboat’s users to helm (drive) the powerboat themselves and participate as members of the crew from their own wheelchair.
Fife Sailability is a Club specifically for those with a disability and is based at Lochore Meadows Watersports Centre in central Fife. Like all clubs it is run by its members for its members. The membership consists of volunteers and sailing members. The volunteers are drawn from all walks of life and bring to the club a passion for boats and sailing which they love to share with others.
Every 2 weeks from 10am
(book through OE Centre)
Most of our canoes, kayaks and katakanu's can be adapted for anyone that requires additional support. We can provide taster days for groups who want to sample these activities.
There are several hoists and transfer equipment to help with access to equipment if required.
The centre also has a fully accessible changing room with toilet, shower and height adjustable shower trolley, and full coverage ceiling hoist.
