The festive season is fast approaching and Dunfermline is preparing to shine bright with the Big Light Switch-On, on Sunday, 17 November.
This year's Big Light Switch-On promises to be bigger and better than ever with festive fun, family entertainment, and a few special surprises along the way. With something for everyone, make sure you mark your calendars and join us for a magical day in the heart of Dunfermline.
Looking ahead to the big day, Cllr James Calder, Convenor of the City of Dunfermline Area Committee, said: “2024 has been another incredible year for Dunfermline, and we’re excited to cap it off with a festive celebration to remember.
“Come along on Sunday, 17 November, and join us as we light up the city centre and fill Dunfermline with the joy of the season.”
On Sunday, November 17, the heart of Dunfermline will be filled with festive cheer from 11am to 6.40 pm. Here's what to expect:

Road Closure – Sunday 17 November from 12:00 – 18:00, High Street, Douglas Street and Maygate will be officially closed with no traffic through to Bruce Street, St Catherine’s Wynd and Bridge Street.
