Some young people experience difficulties with the transition from living in care to independent living, so Fife Council has set up the Supported Lodgings Scheme to help make this move easier.
When parents are unable to look after their children, relatives or family friends will sometimes step in and offer to help. A Kinship carer is someone who looks after a child who is not their own but is either related to them or they have a close relationship with the child.
