This is the final step in the process of becoming a British Citizen. The new citizen must attend a citizenship ceremony and declare or affirm an oath of allegiance to the King and make the pledge of loyalty to the United Kingdom.
In Fife, we receive details of new citizens from the Home Office, who are then invited to attend the next available citizenship ceremony.
