The weighbridge test unit is used by Scottish local authorities to test weighbridges in their area, to ensure compliance with the Weights and Measures Act 1985.

The vehicle is specially designed for the carriage of calibrated heavy weights for testing weighbridges and other high-capacity weighing equipment.
The vehicle and driver can be hired by businesses for verification, and calibration. or servicing of weighbridges and other heavy weighing equipment.
