Creating a new Waste Strategy for Fife

The Climate Change and Zero Waste team at Fife Council were tasked with reviewing the existing Zero Waste Strategy and producing a new 10-year strategy and action plan for Fife. To reflect the move towards a circular economy and a move away from materials being perceived as 'waste' the new document is called the 'Resource Strategy and Action Plan for Fife'.

Engagement and consultation played a big part in the development of the new strategy, with ideas and suggestions received via workshops and online feedback forms feeding into the creation of the final document. The Resource Strategy and Action Plan for Fife was approved by the Environment, Protective Services and Community Safety Committee on 15 March 2018.
