Councillors are people elected by the residents of Fife following local government elections. We have 75 councillors in Fife covering the 22 ward areas – together they make up Fife Council.
Some Councillors offer regular surgeries in their wards and others prefer to make appointments with constituents to discuss issues of concern. If you would like to find out how to arrange a meeting or about surgery times please call Members' Services on 03451 555555 ext 442320.
Councillors are paid for the work they do. Most councillors receive a basic salary of £21,345 each year (figures from 1st April 2024).
Those who have special responsibilities receive more.
