Carleton Nursery, in the Woodside area of Glenrothes, provides places for both local children and from Star, Coaltown and Milton of Balgonie. Placing requests are also considered. The nursery has four nursery rooms in use at present, a parent’s area, a well-equipped gym hall and outdoor area.
Aims
A full version of our aims can be found in the School Information Booklet.
Curriculum
Staff plan activities and experiences that promote children’s development and learning in:
Outdoor Area
Carleton Nursery has a beautiful garden providing space for play and also many opportunities to observe changes in weather and seasons and to study wildlife. All rooms overlook and have direct entry into the garden so it is available at all times.
Parental Involvement
Parents and staff meet regularly over coffee, to chat, discuss children's progress, or have workshops. Parents are welcome to spend time in nursery rooms and to help on outings. There are also many social events, i.e. concerts, open days, and a fun day.
We are always pleased to meet prospective parents, show you around the nursery and provide further information.
