Have a Go Canyoning/Gorge Walking

A day’s introduction to this new, exciting and dynamic activity. Challenge your sense of adventure as you journey through a Scottish gorge. Scramble, jump, slide, abseil and swim your way down the canyon, led by a team of instructors there to give you an amazing experience.


The choice of canyon will depend on water levels, weather and group ability.

  • Meet at the Outdoor Education Centre for a 09.30 start.

Have a Go Coasteering

Action and adventure in the tidal impact zone. Explore exciting sections of the stunning coastline by scrambling along the cliffside, jumping from rocky outcrops and swimming through caves and zorns.

The venue will be chosen with weather conditions and the group in mind.

Have a Go Climbing

An introduction to bouldering, rock climbing and abseiling. You will explore a local crag , or if the weather is poor, you will visit an indoor wall.

Have a Go River

You will travel to the river Tay and have an opportunity to paddle some easy moving water in either kayak or SUP.

You should be confident paddling on flat water. This is an intermediate level trip.

The session will be progressive and appropriate to the group.

    SAILING 2025


    ONBOARD CLUB

    The On Board Club exists to provide regular, quality sailing opportunities for young people.

    Sundays April - Oct | 8 - 16yrs | £13 | All Equipment Provided

    9.30am - 12pm (Novice/Stage 1/2) & 1pm - 3.30pm (Stage 3/4)

    Each month sessions will have several targets with the aim of encouraging progress and developing new skills. During these sessions there will be the chance to work through the RYA stages to become a more independent sailor.


    RYA Stage 1 – Start Sailing

At the completion of this course you will have a widening range of skills and knowledge and be well on the way to being a confident small boat sailor.

    The course aims to cover RYA Stage 2

    • Launch and recovery
    • Rigging and de-rigging dinghy’s

    • Stopping
    • Leaving & returning beach / jetty
    • Controlling Speed
    • Gybe / get out of irons
    • Sailing round courses
    • Capsize recovery

    RYA Stage 3/4 – Better Sailing

    This course is aimed at those with at least a season’s experience sailing since completing a Stage 2 course. You should be confident sailing a dinghy on your own. At the end of the Stage 3 course you will be able to sail in any direction and rig and launch your own boat. You can regard yourself as a sailor, not a beginner.

    Paddlesports 2025

    Paddlenight Splash

    Monday, Tuesday (groups) & Wednesday Evenings | April - September | 6 - 8pm | Age 8+ (under 11 must be accompanied by an adult)

    The PaddleNight Splash is a fun session which is supervised but not led by staff.

    Staff will be on hand to assist you with selecting and launching equipment. They will give you some guidance on where to paddle and any limits. They will be able to give a few top tips on how to paddle but remember this is not a taught course.

    Staff are primarily there to keep an eye on participants and ensure the safety of those taking part. As numbers and time allows they may set up a game or a challenge at some point throughout the evening.

    If you prefer you can just go for a paddle and practise your own skills.
